Rest for the Weary Mommy
As a mother, balancing all the things that need to be done in a single day can be very, very tiring. Most mommies blaze on through a single day without thinking to sit down or have a cup of coffee because there sometimes seems like there is just not enough time in a single day.

A movie starring Uma Thurman once portrayed a stay at home mother to be one who is very weary and sometimes has no more time to take care of herself. Although the movie received a lot of criticism and outrage from mothers and other people, we cannot really deny that there are certain days that weariness is not just something that is visible in the face but it seeps through the bone – also known as being bone tired.
This should not be the case. Mommies need to take time in a single day to relax and compose herself. A tutorial or suggestion, rather, from Leo Babauta of Zen Habits states that perhaps at the very start of a single day, a mom or dad could take at least an hour or so to relax and indulge in the things they want to do. After that, it’s a full course ahead. Think of that as the much needed rest, and soon weariness would definitely be negligible.

I agree. Moms do need to take time to unwind. I try to do that, too. Sometimes when kids go to sleep, I just want to sit, watch movie with the hubs or simply just talk to the hubs.
and no, i haven’t seen that movie yet. will watch when i can get hold of the dvd copy.
