I was searching for an rv insurance quote for my client at yahoo when the entertainment news caught my eyes. The news was about Ken Jeong who starred in the movies, Transformers: Dark of the Moon and The Hangover Part II, got into the “billion dollar mark” worldwide just over the weekend.

I spotted Ken Jeong in the movie “The Hangover” where he played the role of a flamboyant gangster. I could never forget his character there. He made me laugh all the way.

Anyway, he has a movie opening this next week entitled the Zookeeper. I haven’t seen the movie trailer yet but knowing Ken’s capacity, I am sure it would be another comedic hit!!

Burlesque: Anything but Naughty

The movie Burlesque, starring Christina Aguilera, Cher, Stanley Tucci, Kristen Bell, and a slew of other talented forces was released in 2010 after stewing in production since 2009.

While most people would think that the world “burlesque” connotes something naughty at the same time entertaining, the movie depicts the true classical musical entertainment that depicts humour.

In the movie, Christina Aguilera plays “Ali” who goes on a transition from a country mouse to a city mouse, complete with romance and singing parts that definitely showcase Aguilera’s singing capabilities. Cher also stars as “Tess”, the owner of the club “Burlesque”, who takes in Ali under her wing and recognizes her talent despite an earlier brush off.

Insert some dilemmas that all movies should have, which Ali then helps Tess confront. Burlesque, the club, is at first endangered but at the end saved.

All in all, the movie was not that solid for me, but it did have amazing production or performance parts from the cast. It leaves something to be remembered, and for me to go back and watch it again and again.

Glee makes a Thrilling Comeback

After going on a long hiatus, Glee made a wonderful comeback on its first episode for the year.

The episode, showcased several songs such as Michael Jackson’s “Thriller.”

During the episode, the jocks were temporarily merged with New Directions in order to have some kind of unity for the football team. Against their will, the football players had no other choice especially with the conference finals coming up and with a bigger team going against them.

On the other hand, Sue Sylvester had a bit of a breakdown starting from the Principal’s office, raging all across the school – supposedly making things known that she was not pleased. It would seem that Sue was getting bored, and has upped up the scheme of things and purchased a human cannon with Brittney as the supposed human-cannonball.

To top things off, Sue has the Regionals moved to the same night as the football game, so the cheerleaders are forced to pull out their football support and halftime show. This prompts the football team and New Directions to pull together and prepare for a halftime show that aims to blow the socks off the audience.

Eat Pray Love

Julia Roberts stars on the new upcoming movie “Eat Pray Love.” Though it was released in the US last August 2010, it will be shown here in Philippine this coming October 6. I am already excited to watch this because it’s been a long time since I watched any Julia Roberts film. And we all know Julia is a good actress, a movie with her on it is always worth every penny spent!

The plot of the movie according to Wikipedia is that the movie is about a woman who realizes she is not getting what she wants out of life, and, after a painful divorce, sets out on a journey of self discovery that takes her around the world.

Watched Glee Season 2 – Episodes 1 and 2

I was able to watch Glee Season 2 – Episodes 1 and 2. So far, I am amazed. I never thought that this show has something worth watching. In the midst of the Glee Season 1 mania, I never bother watching it. But when I heard Charice Pempengco is going to be with Glee Season 2, I immediately prompt myself to watch. After watching the first and the second episode of Glee Season 2, I was convinced that even if Charice wasn’t part of the cast. The show itself is already worth watching.

Oh well, I can’t wait to see Episode 3!!

Excited to Watch Glee Season 2!!

I am so excited to watch Glee Season 2. I haven’t seen Glee Season 1 and have no interest about it but when they announced that Charice Pempengco (a Filipina International Singer) was on board; I got so excited and had a change of heart.

Glee Season 2 premiere will be shown on September 22, 2010 in North America and then in Australia. Since I am from the Philippines, all I need is to wait or get a cable subscription again!

Gary Coleman Dead at 42

TMZ received a statement from GARY COLEMAN’s spokesperson. He said, “Thanks to everyone for their well wishing and support during this tragic time. Now that Gary has passed, we know he will be missed because of all the love and support shown in the past couple of days. Gary is now at peace and his memory will be kept in the hearts of those who were entertained by him throughout the years.”

GARY COLEMAN, an American actor known to family as Gary Wane Coleman, died at the age of 42 this 12:05 PM MDT in Utah Valley Regional Medical Center. He was admitted there due to an intracranial hemorrhage after falling and hitting his head in his home in Salt Lake City, UT. When he was young, Gary portrayed the role of Arnold Jackson in Diff’rent Strokes. From that sitcom, he became famous.
